Interschool Sudoku Mania 2015  


Park View Primary School participated in the Interschool Sudoku Mania organized by Yuying Secondary School on 26th February. This is the 2nd time that Park View Primary is participating in this Competition. 2 teams of 4 pupils each from Primary 4 and 5 took part in the competition.

They are Cavern Loo, Swastika Dubay, Jerlyn Tan and Joel Affendi from Primary 5 and Kirana Ayu Prahasanti, Quek Sze En Shanice (4A), See Xuan Li (4C) and Rohit G.S. from Primary 4.

 

 

Mathematics Mastery Challenge 2015


Park View Primary School participated in the Math Mastery International Challenge organized by Adam Khoo Learning Centre in partnership with Singapore Press Holdings SPH. This is the 1st time that Park View Primary is participating in this Competition.

A total of 42 pupils took part in the preliminary round and 4 pupils made it to the Semi-final round. They are Shobhit Mishra, Bhargav, Lai Hsuan Jung and Jaslenn Kaur.

Interschool Sudoku Mania 2014


Park View Primary School participated in the Interschool Sudoku Mania organized by Yuying Secondary School on 13th February. This is the 1st time that Park View Primary is participating in this Competition. 2 teams of 4 pupils each from Primary 5E took part in the competition. One of the teams consisting of Javan Ang, Daryl Tai, Muhammad Fikri and Ian Leong beat all the other teams and emerged Overall Champion in the competition.

  

The competition aims to: 

  • enhance the primary school students’ interest in mathematics;

  • develop pupils’ logical abilities and exercise their cognition and

  • foster friendly relations among primary and secondary school students from different schools in Singapore.

 

A total of more than 30 teams all over Singapore took part in this Competition.

Po Leung Kuk 16th Primary Mathematics World Contest 2013


Park View Primary School participated in the Po Leung Kuk Primary Mathematics World Contest organized by Po Leung Kuk and co-organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Education from 15
th to 19th July. This is the 4th
 year that Park View Primary is participating in this World Contest. 4 of our pupils from Primary 6F, Jason Lim, Lim Zhen An, Quek Yu Sheng and Chen Yen took part in the contest. They gained greater insight, mathematical awareness and interest in Mathematics through the competition.
 

The contest aims to:

  • enhance the primary school students’ interest in mathematics;

  • provide an opportunity for the exchange of information of primary school mathematics education throughout the world;

  • foster friendly relations among primary school students from different cities and

  • discover the mathematics potential of gifted primary students among the different cities. 


A total of 44 participating teams from Australia, Bulgaria, China, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Ghana, Thailand, the United States and Hong Kong took part in this World Contest.
