PERTANDINGAN BICARA BERIRAMA

The Malay Language Learning and Promotion Committee (MLLPC) in conjunction with Malay Language Fiesta 2023 organised a Choral Recitation Competition (Pertandingan Bicara Berirama), for primary school students in June 2023. The competition required participants to record a 3-minute choral recitation on the joy of using the Malay language. Our P5 and P6 boys took part in the competition. They definitely had a lot of fun! SAYEMBARA BAHASA
Our students participated in Sayembara Bahasa, held on 26 August 2023, in conjunction with the Malay Language Month (Bulan Bahasa). Sayembara Bahasa is a competition for P1 to P6 students with the following objectives:

1. To enhance students’ interest in Malay Language through competition

2. To improve student’ oracy skills and confidence in using Sebutan Baku (Standard Malay)

3. To showcase students’ talent in acting and doing character portrayal on Malay Folktales

Our students worked hard and bagged the following awards

	P1 – Mass Singing 3rd Place
	P2 – Folklore Consolation
	P3 – Promoting a Book 3rd Place
	P4 – Twisted Tale Consolation
	P5 – Rap 1st Place
	P6 – Language Quiz 2nd Place

Kudos to our students and teachers and we hoped our students had fun during the competition!

MTL FORTNIGHT

The MTL Fortnight Programme is a platform to engage students in the learning and appreciation of their MT languages outside the context of their lessons. Usually conducted in conjunction with Bulan Bahasa (Malay Language Month), it allows students opportunities to participate in various activities catered to their level.
